Working with clay is one of the oldest trades and art forms, with pottery-making skills passed down from generation to generation. The artists and craftsmen who embrace pottery-making often describe it as a relaxing and therapeutic creative outlet.
Yoga is a two-for-one discipline that manages to renew us on the outside and reset us on the inside. It has the power to connect body, mind, and breath and helps work the joints and the muscular fascia to gain more flexibility, relax the body, and enable more restful sleep and mental well-being.
I want to recommend this bilingual ceramics and yoga workshop in San Miguel de Allende as an experience where these two activities will come together. On one hand, you will work with clay, and on the other, you will breathe, relax, and feel the movement of your body.
As human beings, we form and design ourselves through constant self-construction. This workshop is organized by Blanca García and Anabel Cárdenas to guide self-construction. With yoga postures, we will shape our body; with clay and yoga, we will explore matter and spirit, connecting body-mind to make our own mask and a clay bowl.
For this workshop you will need a yoga mat, water, and comfortable clothes. The class will take place Saturday, October 8, at 9:45am. For more information, call 415 100 30 53.
