Silvia Velázquez exhibition at Aurora

By Fernanda Noriega

Last Wednesday, January 12, an art exhibit was held at the Fabrica la Aurora at the Ezcurdia Gallery. Visual artist Sílvia Velázquez presented a collection of her most recent works, most strikingly a collection of volcanoes, made with India ink on parchment, and other works. Silvia currently lives in France, but she has made it a tradition to come to San Miguel every winter. She takes advantage of this time to share her works with Mexicans and other residents of the most beautiful city in the world. During the exhibition, which lasted a few days, cordiality abounded as well as snacks; and a toast of honor was offered to the attendees. Among the guests were Juan Ezcurdia, owner of the gallery and his brother José Ezcurdia, in addition to Silvia’s daughter and best friend were also present, all supporting her and enjoying her works of art.
